I held my first ever Yoga Retreat at the Back to Nature Retreat Center this August & it was absolutely amazing! Keltie and Stan were wonderful hosts & made the planning process easy & effortless for me. The Accommodations were beautiful & comfortable, and we definitely felt at home there, and the food was INCREDIBLE!! If you are considering holding a retreat and looking for a venue I highly recommend The Back to Nature Retreat Center
I just returned home from spending the weekend at BNTR with my daughter, we had a wonderful time exploring the area, spent the day in Canmore, taking in the beauty of our Country. I've known Keltie for many years but had lost contact with her about 15 years ago. When I heard that she and Stan had turned their home into a B&B I knew I had to go. I have always said "when Keltie does something, she gives 110% to it, and this is no exception. Her and Stan make an awesome team and go to great lengths to ensure you enjoy your stay. I can't wait to return!
Our local Garden Club recently visited The Back to Nature Retreat for a tour of their wildflowers and Wildlife photos. Keltie and Stan are thoughtful and amazing hosts, and shared their time and knowledge of their property. They toured us through their B&B which is a home built by Pioneer Homes - beautiful. If you are looking for a relaxing get away this would be the place.
We were awestruck as we drove up to the beautiful log home and even more so when we walked in and saw how massive the logs were and majestic. A beautiful home surrounded by trees, flowers, wildlife. So serene. Quiet and peaceful. The owners, Stan & Keltie, are warm and welcoming. Made us feel at home. Very talented and knowledgeable. Offered lots of suggestions for things to do and see locally. Stan is a gifted wildlife photographer and we bought one of his beautiful owl pieces. Their hot tub is better than any massage I ever had! We stayed in their romantic wildflower suite with our own private door out on to the deck and lots of windows to watch for wildlife. It was a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing visit. We did not want to leave! Water Valley is a gorgeous area to drive around, nice parks, trails, golf, old time saloon and general store. A great meadery. Had a fantastic time!
Had a wonderful time getting together with 7 friends. We loved the surroundings, enjoyed the hot tub and the beauty and quiet of Nature. The meals were delicious, the beds comfortable and we had the huge area to ourselves to visit. We took in the Water Valley Music Festival as suggested by the Hosts Keltie & Stan who were gracious, friendly & helpful. Stan took us on a Nature hike of the beautiful flora and fauna. We loved Duff and Sadie their Dog and Cat. Thanks for the memories.
5 quilting friends and I spent 4 amazing days and nights at Keltie and Stan`s `Timber Kings` spectacular home, which has a great set up for smaller size groups. The level of service and cleanliness is incomparable and the food was delicious, plentiful and personalized to our requirements. With the retreat located only an hour from Calgary we were just close enough to and yet far enough away from home to have the perfect, relaxing getaway. This was our second time there and we are going back!
After much fussing over whether we could justify the decision, my wife recently attended a quilting / crafting retreat at BTNR. She was, I’m told, properly pampered and came home relaxed, rejuvenated and with a wonderfully positive attitude. I write to inquire if we might set up something on a weekly basis…….
I felt really at home at the retreat, as everything was beautifully laid out and there was lots of room to do your projects and have your supplies. The sleeping accommodations are beautifully decorated rooms with new beds and coverings. The meals were wonderful, well planned and just what we needed when we were sitting round, not getting very much exercise. The hosts were friendly, informative about the area, had the deer come to the yard for us to see, and don’t forget the wonderful meals we had. Not to mention good cooks
We were truly in the Lap of Mother Nature for a few weeks. Keltie and Stan are wonderful hosts, warm and amicable, and resourceful. They opened their heart, hearth, and their beautiful Log home to us which is furnished with all the necessary amenities. Their lovely home is surrounded by acres of wonderful pine and poplar trees, with birds, bees, deer, elk and chipmunks and squirrels, a wonderland. Its a place to go to unwind, relax and enjoy tranquility. Its so quiet that I could literally hear my noisy mind, my own thoughts, which became quieter as the days flew by in peace. We enjoyed some of the best sleep sessions we have ever had. Keltie and Stan are truly nature lovers and know so much about flora and fauna, local, as well as about those they may have come across in their travels. One can enjoy a stay at their place in any season and enjoy whatever the weather has to offer. They are close to Canmore, Kananaskis, and even Banff. We did several day trips to these places to come back to the warmth and comfort of a home away from home, a Nature retreat. We plan to revisit and enjoy their home and what the surroundings have to offer in the very near future. We wish them our very best in their endeavors and plans.
We had a wonderful stay at Back to Nature Retreat. The home is beautiful, and it offers everything one needs for a short stay. Stan & Keltie have thought about every single detail to ensure a wonderful stay. We stayed at the Bird Nest - the bed was very comfortable and the linens were very soft. We loved the hot tub too!I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a retreat or a short getaway. 5 star!!
